Cute Enertia Electric Motorcycle

Justify Full
Brammo Motorsports, a company based in Oregon, will be releasing an electric motorcycle called the Enertia Bike for sale in the United States in early 2008. We've featured electric motorcycle retrofits before, but the Enertia Bike was designed from the ground up to be a fully electric bike. It has a top speed of 50 mph, range of 45 miles, and can fully recharge via a standard plug in 3 hours. It weighs just 275 pounds, and uses a direct-chain drive for power. You can see a video of the bike in action at the Enertia site.

Being electric, the bike will have zero emissions. The power is stored in six Valence Technology lithium phosphate batteries that are mounted above and below the frame. The motorcycle is driven by a “pancake type” high output DC motor.
Brammon will be initially offering a limited edition carbon model for $14,995 can be ordered online for a delivery in the first quarter of next year. You can also reserve a standard model at $11,995, which should be delivery in the third quarter of 2011.

Honda Oree Electric Motorcycle Concept

Wandering the 1057 booths at the 2008 INTERMOT Bike Show in Cologne, Germany, one of Motorcycle USA’s favorite exhibits was the Innovation Café. Featuring alternative two-wheeled designs, electric motorcycles and scooters were prominent. Yet there was one electric design that stood out in our minds, the Honda Oree.

A naked street bike concept, the diminutive scale model size of the Oree doesn’t diminish its big ideas. The creation of two German design college students, Nike Albertus and Andre Look, the intention of the Oree “was to create a concept bike for dynamic road riding.”

Creating the model only days before the INTERMOT show, Albertus and Look sourced their interest in motorcycles and honed their talent at the Academy of Art and Design in Offenbach am Main.
Honda Oree Electric Motorcycle Concept

“One of our first fundamentals was to create a concept bike which is made by riders for riders,” explains Look, “with the ambition of innovation and also the idea of making the technique and the concept work.”

The minimalist design is fashioned around an electric motor, with radial battery packs placed around the circular edge of the powerplant – including the recharge plug. Citing the performance benefits of an electric motor, including high torque at low revs and quick acceleration, Look notes his design also does without a CVT gearbox or clutch. Instead power is transmitted directly via belt drive.

The ambitious student design anticipates a motor producing 90-plus horsepower, 125 lb-ft of torque and top speed near 120 mph. Weight would be in the range of 290-375 lbs with a range of between 80-190 miles, depending on the number of batteries used. Of course, this is all speculative, as no such batteries or motor now exists (remember it’s a design college project!).

“The main point of our design was to let the rider feel the action happening in and around the motorcycle,” says Look on the unique lines of the Oree.
Honda Oree Electric Motorcycle Concept
Claiming inspiration from popular European naked bikes like the Kawasaki ER-6, the bare styling of the Oree sports a less-is-more gestalt (that’s German for design). Odd-shaped hand controls include hanging mirrors. A circular control display is located in a more conventional position, above the fork – the front houses the headlight assembly. Taillights are tucked under the scant seat.

Chassis design features a single pivot point around the motor for the single-sided swingarm and final drive. Looking down in their stance, a rider will see the shock in action, as it’s placed between the frame’s backbone spars.

“The major aspect of the suspension is to expose functions and attitude – in standstill for every viewer and also while riding,” explains Look. “At first the direct effects of the road can be recognized through the fork and swingarm movement - further the motion of the suspension shocks between the frame halves can be realized.”
Not an official Honda development, Look assures the two students “requested Honda R&D to backup our knowledge of motorcycles with their professional experience.”
Honda Oree Electric Motorcycle Concept
Readers may remember the big Honda news at the 2008 INTERMOT Bike Show in Cologne was the unveiling of its V-Four concept bike. More akin to a sculpture than a functional ride, the wild-looking V-Four concept got top billing. Sure, the Oree is a scale model, but it looks like a more finished product and in pure creativity, the college kids may have bested Big Red at INTERMOT.
Honda Oree Electric Motorcycle Concept
The Oree was met with enthusiasm in the Innovation Café. “The response at the Intermot Cologne was stunning,” confirms Look, “even a lot of Ducati riders were zealous about the look of the bike and the idea behind it.”

As for the Oree’s non-scale-model future?

Although Honda CEO Takeo Fukui did announce the manufacturer plans to introduce an electric design in about two year’s time, don’t expect to see the Oree at your Honda dealership anytime soon. For now it remains an independent creative experiment, with Look saying, “how the project will continue is currently still open.”

Honda Tiger Modification Like Aprilia Motorcycle

If you have a collection of images output Aprilia motorcycles, maybe a little confused with this view. At the bottom of the fairing and the tank Aprilia written, but in the Italian motorcycle manufacturer catalogs can not find that model. Then, the original of the bike is also gone. So no wonder the original Honda motorcycle was in 2005 that Tiger has been modified by the G2C. Amazingly, all the body is made from 0.8 mm galvanized materials which must be more difficult than the fiber shape using a mold.

In concept, according to Hery Shofiyulloh, fairingnya imitate the model Yamaha R6, but its size is adjusted again. Was indeed plagiarism Aprilia tank that has some curves and it's been a challenge. Differences with a swing arm (arm) made his own. "So that can ensure the size fit the body. That's the difference compared to life of the swinging arm.'ve Pegged and baseball become creative again," said Hery flying the same Wardoyo benderan G2C.

Wardoyo other creations can decent thumbs up, see the muffler design. To view and the model does not fail with the new motor. Sangar with two snout shape and position in the undertail. "The form we also note the notch mufflers, made back in rhythm with the body design. So that between the body and exhaust that sticks not opposites," said Hery.

Modifikasi Suzuki Satria F Sport Style

If you already have the intention of something on the other side, the sea area in front of any cross. Such was the desire to be desired Rahman Setiadi origin Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan on the Suzuki Satria. He was to be the "Puartorico" to modify the duck so that the modified form of Naked Bike.

Far away to be there! That is to Purwokerto (Central Java) to be reformed by Suswanto, Billy retainer Custom (BC). Although a simple concept, but the detail and shape of the motor should be solid.

To achieve the desired shape Rahman, a clear framework must be reformed. Despite the simple construction, said Suswanto, but believes a strong reason to use electric welding and pipe number one quality.

So also with the construction of the legs of condoms dipalikasi with 2.5-inch pipe on the inside front sokbreker already dipanjangi. Who's who behind dicustom wrapped manner similar to let the blade plate.

For the body, because the concept needs hjanya Naked Bike 0.8 mm galvanized plate as a material body. Because, you'll enjoy the flow of the muscle. Here Wanto not use fiberglass like most pemodifikator. Then, connect the tank with the design and airscoop Shroud. Hence the tank dimension is not too big to fit the shape of the front wing.

Visual accent and functional addition to visible on the wing flat and angular, as well as the lamp holder Sein as well as the front. Hence the headlights picked from Honda Beat the cover can be formed with plain simple.

S-KTRC (Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control)

With S-KTRC, Kawasaki becomes the first Japanese manufacturer to deliver a race-bred traction-control system to the masses. As an evolution from what was learned on the MotoGP stage, Kawasaki points out that this traction-control system has been developed “to help riders push harder on the track by maximizing acceleration.”
Whereas the KTRC on the Concours 14 is designed primarily for safety, the S-KTRC helps reduce lap times by allowing a certain amount of slip before intervening. As long as “effective traction” is maintained, the TC will still allow power slides and wheelies.
Wheel-speed sensors are a key component of OEM TC systems, but S-KTRC does without an accelerometer (Ducati) or a gyro bank-angle input (BMW). The Kawi system (in development for five years) uses a Mitsubishi ECU to monitor engine speed, throttle position, acceleration rate and comparative wheel speeds to judge the bike’s slip angle, retarding ignition timing if the tires need to be reined back in. Data points are examined an incredible 200 times per second! By doing without accelerometer or bank-angle sensors, S-KTRC has no fixed maps, so the TC is able to adapt to modifications like exhaust systems or engine tweaks.
Kawasaki claims its TC system is so sophisticated that it can predict when traction conditions “are about to become unfavorable,” so it can engage mildly before slippage exceeds the range for optimal traction, minimizing harsh intervention.
Three levels of TC can be dialed in from handlebar switchgear, even while moving, and it can be switched off (while stopped) if you’re especially brave. Your chosen TC setting is stored in memory – like the Ronco Rotisserie, just set it and forget it!
The bottom of the new gauge pack has a 7-section bar-graph display showing the amount of TC intervention. Jeff Herzog, Kawasaki’s senior media relations coordinator and a former racer, said he saw only one bar light up during a full-throttle corner exit over a racetrack’s curb. “You’ll be amazed how often you’ll be able to use full throttle,” he says.

We’ve seen it, sat on it, and heard it run! Kawasaki has unleashed a potent new literbike weapon in the form of the 2011 ZX-10R.

This is not a warmed-over version of the existing 10R – it’s a ground-up redesign with virtually zero carry-over parts. More power and less weight (22 lbs is the target) are naturally part of the package, but less expected is a new traction-control system that is claimed to be the most sophisticated on the market and comes as standard equipment.
The result is a bike said to be a huge 2 seconds quicker around Autopolis than the 2010 edition in back-to-back testing on identical tires on the same day. This indicates it has the potential to turn better lap times than its literbike competitors.
