Troy Bayliss admires the 1098 R “Bayliss Replica”

Troy Bayliss visited the Ducati Stand at the Milan Motorbike Show last week to admire his name sake the stunning new Ducati 1098 R Bayliss Replica.

When I first saw the livery for my last race at Portimao – said Troy Bayliss as he sat on the Ducati stand’s display bike, surrounded by his fans – I thought that it was the most beautiful bike I would ever ride. To see this “replica” design also available for the public and my fans makes me fell very proud. I thank Ducati for this and I thank the public for all their continued love and support. This is a very emotional time and the bike will always be very special to me”

For those in the UK who want to see the ‘1098R ‘Bayliss Limited Edition’ and the rest of the new 2009 Ducati model range they will be on display at the NEC International Motorcycle Show from the 28th November to 7th December.

Ride safe.

The Ducati Streetfighter S.

The Ducati Streetfighter is officially the best-looking bike at the 2008 Milan show. It was voted best looking bike by 20,000 plus enthusiasts taking part in a survey organised by Italian magazine Motociclismo.

I think with looks like these, its easy to see why the Ducati Streetfighter was the star of the Milan Motorbike Show!

BMW's new bikes for road and track!

A the Milan Motorbike Show this week, BMW launched yet another variant of the 800cc motorcycle, their new F 800 R naked roadster. It's due to be on sale in May 2009, power will be 87bhp from the parallel twin 4-valve engine.

Apparently the new BMW F 800 R will on show at the forthcoming Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the Birmingham NEC here in the UK at the end of this month.

However potentially more exciting BMW will be showing off their new race bike the BMW S 1000 RR at the Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show. With this new track machine BMW intend to challenge the Italian and Japanese factories in world class racing. But the even better news is this should lead to a road going version of the BMW S 1000 RR, which should be on sale in early 2010.

In the meantime we've a pic of each new BMW bike for you to enjoy.
